Butterfly Equipment was established in 1997 and it was an outgrowth of the equipment loan closet established by CDR members in the 80’s. Butterfly has evolved through the years in response to the needs of our consumers, and the changing market for assistive devices and equipment.

Today, Butterfly carries the following limited selection of high demand items:

• Aluminum portable ramps from 2 feet to 8 feet long. Some are folding suitcase style;
• Rubber and plastic threshold ramps for thresholds from ¼ to 1 ½ inches in height;
• Reachers;
• Shower chairs;
• Transport Wheelchairs;
• Swivel Seats;
• Grab bars; and,
• Hand-held shower heads.
• Hospital trays

For people transitioning from nursing facilities back into the community, Butterfly is an approved vendor for certain household goods.

Our commonly carried items are as follows:

Microwave ovens; toaster ovens; toasters; dish sets, bedding ensembles; sheets; blankets; towels; shower curtains and tub mats; pots and pans; utensils; alarm clocks, telephones; cleaning equipment and supplies; and other items from time to time.
