
2010 Wheel-A-Thon
The Center for Disability Rights Wheel-A-Thon Planning Committee has announced that the 2011 CDR Wheel-A-Thon to Benefit Youth with Disabilities will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Savin Rock Conference Center in West Haven, Connecticut.
This year the Wheel-A-Thon will include the usual 1-mile route and an optional disability challenge where participants can try maneuvering a wheelchair over and through obastacles similar to those that wheelchair users encounter everyday.

Teams can include up to eight participants and must raise at least $200 total to be eligible to participate.
Members of 16 teams raised $10,600 for CDR’s scholarship program. Individuals who were not part of a team but who raised at least $25 for young people with disabilities participated on the Friends of CDR team.
