Assistive Technology

The goal of Center for Disability Rights’ Assistive Technology program is to create a cutting edge program that uses “out-of-the-box” technologies such as iPads, smart phones, and apps to support the goals and mission of CDR.

In particular, we want to apply “out-of-the-box” tools to help folks to age in place in their own homes, and help folks with communication and memory disabilities to be able to communicate and function more independently. The applications are endless! And we hope this new program will work in collaboration with other CDR projects and programs to help achieve our Aging in Place; Nursing Facility Transition; Youth Transition; and ADA Community Advocacy goals.
