CCEH Seeks Part Time Project Coordinator for the Continuum of Care of Stamford and Greenwich (CoC)

Purpose: The Project Coordinator provides administrative and hands-on assistance to the Continuum of Care of Stamford and Greenwich CoC in its mission to end homelessness.

Responsibilities: Working closely with the Manager of Community Impact Initiatives, and the various committee co-chairs of the CoC, the Project Coordinator provides administrative and technical support in the following areas:

Coordination: The PC will work with the assigned Community Plans and related interest groups to broaden oversight of the 10 year plan’s implementation to include representatives from the business, university and government communities; plan, coordinate and facilitate yearly planning retreats; track progress toward stated goals; support members; assist in coordination of annual events and meetings; and, support the appropriate committees toward accomplishment of their goals.

Communication: Prepare and submit updates and status reports to the Steering Committees regarding activities and progress toward achieving goals; research and disseminate relevant information to committees regarding effective and best practices to support work of committees and leadership; research and disseminate to the Steering Committees grant and other funding opportunities.

Organization: Announce and organize monthly Steering, and subcommittee meetings, circulate agendas, minutes and other work product of Steering Committee and its subcommittees prior to meetings; provide staff support at monthly committee meetings; assure accurate record keeping on behalf of the Steering Committee; attend statewide meetings at representative of Community Plans when logistically able.

Requirements: Previous relevant experience and knowledge of the region and in particular with the Homeless community and others with special needs. Experience in community organizing or community development preferred.

(Preferred) Master’s Degree in Social Work, or related field, with 1 year experience; or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, with minimum 3-5 years related experience, including project management experience. Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, writing, management, and communication skills. Computer skills needed: Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Fairfield County and occasional statewide travel required. Must have own personal automobile available for daily use.
